A map with severe environmental constraints is a global grid data layer with a resolution of 5 arc minutes. Pixels without strict environmental constraints contain zero values. Each other pixel contains a cumulative class value that displays the environmental constraints bound in the pixel region. The data comes from the Food and Agriculture Organization and IIASA, and severe environmental constraints in the Heilongjiang River Basin were obtained through cropping.
